Hi readers, once again I hope to bring you nearer to the awesomeness of Our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, relating my own understanding of the word of God to you by the power of the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. In my last post on creation and end time, I wrote on the creation of the world according to the Bible. Also writing about scientific theories like the big bang theory and the evolution of life on earth. Finding similarities between the end of time according to the Bible, particularly the book of Genesis which is ancient, and the present day views of general scientific theories of the worlds origin, thereafter buttressing my believe that the word of God is the surest truth out there no matter how not logical it may seem.
So in this post I will be taking the bull by the horn or at list making an attempt to. Although my intent was to write about the end time, in my last post. I ended up focusing mainly on the creation of the world. However I did this in an attempt to get a better understanding of the end time, cause in my opinion, one has to remember where one started from in order not to lose sight of ones destination.
It’s common knowledge that everyone seems to think that this earth which we live on wont last forever. One just has to click on the net or watch a few doomsday movies to realize this. I mean, out there, there are loads of apocalyptic hypotheses, each one scarier than the other. From theories involving, our solar systems star, the sun going berserk and swallowing up everything, to meteoroids the size of a city slamming down on the earth, black holes erupting out of nowhere and lets not forget the theories which involve us humans killing off ourselves through some sickening means like nuclear war, chemical weapons etc, even before the earth get a chance to go down.
As scary and fantastic these apocalyptic hypotheses may sound, the truth Is even more scarier. I would employ you to do your own research and read the word of God for yourself because I plan to treat this Topic quite methodically. Before I plunge into the book of revelations, the other day I stumbled unto the the parable of the tares. This word of God amazed me so much, as it was able to, in its simplicity and clarity explain that which I have been tiring to understand. I just had to share it with you.
Matthew chapter 13 verse 24;
24 ¶ Another parable put he forth
unto them, saying, The kingdom of
heaven is likened unto a man which
sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy
came and sowed tares among the
wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung
up, and brought forth fruit, then
appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder
came and said unto him, Sir,
didst not thou sow good seed in thy
field? from whence then hath it
tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy
hath done this. The servants said
unto him, Wilt thou then that we go
and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye
gather up the tares, ye root up also
the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the
harvest: and in the time of harvest I
will say to the reapers, Gather ye together
first the tares, and bind them
in bundles to burn them: but gather
the wheat into my barn.
Jesus Christ our lord and savior went further to explain the Parable to his disciples, pointing out the significance of the parable.
Matthew chapter 13 verse 37-42:
37 He answered and said unto
them, He that soweth the good seed
is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good
seed are the children of the kingdom;
but the tares are the children
of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is
the devil; the harvest is the end of
the world; and the reapers are the
angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered
and burned in the fire; so shall
it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth
his angels, and they shall gather out
of his kingdom all things that offend,
and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace
of fire: there shall be wailing
and gnashing of teeth.
In my own understanding the harvest is the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, the end of the world in which the sheep are going to be separated from the goats. The reapers are the seven angels of God who will sound their trumpet and bring about great calamity according to the book of revelations. lastly the barn represents in the the kingdom of God.
Revelations chapter 8 verse 6-7 states:
6 And the seven angels which had
the seven trumpets prepared themselves
to sound.
7 The first angel sounded, and
there followed hail and fire mingled
with blood, and they were cast upon
the earth: and the third part of trees
was burnt up, and all green grass was
burnt up.
I brought out this Bible scripture cause in my opinion it explain that which is yet to come at the harvest the end of the world simply, in a way that everyone can understand. Highlighting the fact there was a beginning and there will be an ending and that those who fail to overcome the great tribulation, those wheat who are corrupted by the tares shall be cast into the fire.
