Presently there is a huge lie which the devil is spreading, trying to get the best of us even the elect to believe, that it’s ok to compromise, that it’s ok to call a spade a circle, that it’s ok to be homosexual, that it’s ok to fornicate and so on and so forth I mean in most countries/states right now gay marriages and deadly drugs like weed are legal. Frankly said, the moral standards are dropping and perversity is the order of the day. At least that’s my opinion on the whole issue.
For we are in the End-times and the perversity/Iniquity which prevails nowadays shouldn’t be seen as something natural neither should it be glorified. For the iniquity that abounds is as a result of man forgetting or rather putting aside the God that created him Romans 1:21-31
21 Because that, when they knew
God, they glorified him not as God,
neither were thankful; but became
vain in their imaginations, and their
foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be
wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the
uncorruptible God into an image
made like to corruptible man, and to
birds, and fourfooted beasts, and
creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them
up to uncleanness through the lusts
of their own hearts, to dishonour
their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God
into a lie, and worshipped and
served the creature more than the
Creator, who is blessed for ever.
Amen.
Note: Idol worshipping isn’t just limited to caving out an image, placing it in your living room and bowing down to It. Rather an Idol is everything that presumes to take the place of God in your life i.e. that dictates how you live your life. That idol can be your job, money, food, sex, your properties etc.
26 For this cause God gave them up
unto vile affections: for even their
women did change the natural use
into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving
the natural use of the woman,
burned in their lust one toward another;
men with men working that
which is unseemly, and receiving in
themselves that recompence of their
error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to
retain God in their knowledge, God
gave them over to a reprobate mind,
to do those things which are not
convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness,
fornication, wickedness,
covetousness, maliciousness; full of
envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity;
whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful,
proud, boasters, inventors
of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers,
without natural affection,
implacable, unmerciful:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 paints a clearer picture of the consequence of compromising.
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous
shall not inherit the kingdom of
God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators,
nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves
with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of
God.
However when we as Christians come across such perversity what should we do? Should we puff ourselves up claiming to be righteous while pouring down condemnation upon everyone else? Or going as far as criminal groups like Boko Haram and Isis handing out death sentences on everyone they see as infidels?
Nee, I tell you not! For the Bible clearly dictates that we as Christians should not Judge others for we have all sinned and come short of grace. As written in Matthew 7:1-5
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge,
ye shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be measured
to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote
that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest
not the beam that is in thine
own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy
brother, Let me pull out the mote
out of thine eye; and, behold, a
beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the
beam out of thine own eye; and then
shalt thou see clearly to cast out the
mote out of thy brother’s eye.
As a Christian, Judgment and revenge are not ours to hand out for we serve a God whose ways we cannot comprehend. For example Saint-Paul is regarded as one of the wisest men in the New Testament. He proclaimed the Good news of our lord Jesus Christ to the highest authorities in his time, before governors and high priests, he was instrumental to setting up and guiding of a lot of the early Christian communities. Yet Saint Paul back then known as saul was a persecutor of Christians he was part of those who stoned Saint Stephen to death but all that changed after saul came in encounter with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
This brings us back to the heading the post “Finding Jesus”. For I believe that finding Jesus is the remedy to all issues of life and the cure for every challenge. For you do not just find Jesus and remain the same, no! Better said. you cannot encounter Jesus and remain the same. For allowing Jesus into your life is gaining access into the Kingdom of God and when you do, you become a new creation.
Matthew 13:44
44 ¶ Again, the kingdom of heaven
is like unto treasure hid in a field;
the which when a man hath found,
he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth
and selleth all that he hath, and
buyeth that field.
For one can only find our Lord Jesus Christ when we seek Him in truth and in spirit, setting aside every idol that presumes to take the place of God in one’s life placing everything second and the Kingdom of God first. Matthew 6:33
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added unto you.
For I assure you, if you are actually able to forsake everything and place the kingdom of God first in your life. You won’t need anyone to explain to you what’s right or wrong but rather the Holy spirit Himself will guide you in the way everlasting.
