Don’t waste your time

A stumbling block along ones pathway is only of importance if one fails to see and avoid it. What are stumbling blocks? These is anything that delays or poses a threat, to one arriving at ones destination. This means that the Stumbling Block, in its self, is not the danger but the danger is in failings to identify and avoid it. For instance, if while I’m working along the road I fail to see a stone in my part, a depression or bulging on the road and I stumble upon it. I don’t go all “How dare you stand in my part stone!!!” rather am like “dammit, I should have been paying more attention to where I step”. At least that’s what I, and I believe every other person with common sense would do. For the stone wasn’t necessarily there to make me stumble rather it was just an obstacle along that path. Which would have been there irrespective of whether I decided to thread that path or not.

For the probability of walking along the road without facing any obstacles is pretty low if not nonexistent I must say. Cause, if it’s not a stone along ones part then it might be a cyclist and if not a cyclist then a car and if not a car then maybe a fellow pedestrian whose not looking at where his going, and so on and so forth. I mean, the possibilities are infinite.

Nonetheless transferring this Analogy into one Life. As long as one sets a goal or a destination for him or herself. The will surely be obstacles along the part to that goal. Just as written in        1.Corinthians 16:9

9 For a great door and effectual is

opened unto me, and there are many

adversaries.

Some obstacles might be set there intentionally but most of the obstacles (in my opinion the most dangerous obstacles), are set there unintentionally and often come from those closest to us i.e. from our friends, loved ones and even Family.

Knowing this, I often try to reprimand myself, that wasting my time arguing or being annoyed with someone over one thing or the other, while there are much more important challenges at hand. Is not just a waste of time but is also utterly detrimental and hurtful to myself. For if I do so, I would just be like the guy devoid of common sense, who stops to shout and curse at the stone on the road, for daring to stand in his path.

However I myself know how difficult it can be to ignore the obstacles/opposition and focus on the goal the destination, especially when pride is involved. On the other hand I also know how easy it can be to live a life of Joy and humility in Our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, where not every little issue puts one in “berserker mode” and things just seem to rub off. For in Zechariah 4:6

6 Then he answered and spake unto

me, saying, This is the word of the

LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not

by might, nor by power, but by my

spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

 

For when one forsakes everything including ones loved ones, family, pride etc. and one gives his or her life to our Lord Jesus Christ, just like I have done. That is when you truly gain everything. Matthew 6:33

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of

God, and his righteousness; and all

these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for

the morrow: for the morrow shall

take thought for the things of itself.

Sufficient unto the day is the evil

thereof.

That is when one enters the realm of Joy Unlimited. You find out that you are incapable of being annoyed or holding a grudge against any person, for added to the Joy of our Lord Jesus Christ you come into the knowledge that. Ephesians 6:12-18

12 For we wrestle not against flesh

and blood, but against principalities,

against powers, against the rulers of

the darkness of this world, against

spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the

whole armour of God, that ye may be

able to withstand in the evil day, and

having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your

loins girt about with truth, and having

on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the

preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of

faith, wherewith ye shall be able to

quench all the fiery darts of the

wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation,

and the sword of the Spirit, which is

the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer

and supplication in the Spirit, and

watching thereunto with all perseverance

and supplication for all saints;

For if we walk with our Lord Jesus Christ Hand in hand. There are no number of obstacles that can prevent us from reaching our destination. For if God be for us, then we are in majority.
